COLLIGNON is a three-piece band with Yves Lennertz on guitars, Gino Bombrini on drums and percussion and Jori Collignon on keyboards. Three friends who have been making music together for years, collaborating in different groups and settings: Gino and Jori as part of the band SKIP&DIE, and Gino as a producer for YĪNYĪN, the band founded by Yves.
Over the summer of ’23 COLLIGNON developed into a highly energetic and explosive live act, surprising and impressing audiences across Europe with their fresh energy and authentic musicianship during a tour of 30+ dates.
In November 2023, they launched their first single as a trio: ‘Viemos de Longe / Visita Noturna,’ released as a 7-inch by Swiss label Bongo Joe Records in co-production with Jori’s own new label, Gris Gris Records.
The single was presented at Le Guess Who? Festival in Utrecht (NL), where COLLIGNON and Gris Gris Records curated a stage, bringing together acts from Portugal, Guiné Bissau, and Brazil.
Their second single, ‘Lagoinha (Minha Nave),’ featuring the group Mira Kendô from Guiné Bissau, was released in January 2024 with an explosive concert at the Eurosonic / Noorderslag Festival in Groningen (NL).
The show received rave reviews, describing the music as an ‘instrumental high-speed train’ to which ‘standing still is impossible. The audience has no option but to surrender and be carried away’. Dutch music platform 3voor12 named COLLIGNON one of the best and most promising acts of the internationally acclaimed showcase festival. The performance propelled COLLIGNON into another busy festival summer.
Amidst a 35+ concert tour, the band managed to write and record their full-length album, “Bicicleta” (set for release on February 14, 2025). Thriving on the energy of their live shows, the band felt they had to seize the moment and capture the new music that emerged between them so naturally.
Following the well-received singles “Estrada do Norte,” “Guizo da Cobra,” and the title track “Bicicleta,” this album marks COLLIGNON’s biggest release to date, paving the way for the band to reach new audiences and territories.
The foundation of COLLIGNON’s music lies in Jori’s studio in Portugal. After a decade of touring the world, Jori settled in a dusty little village called Lagoinha, just south of Lisbon, where he built a recording studio, guesthouse, and small farm. Many artists and musical influences from around the world have passed through this magical place, inspiring Jori and Gino to record COLLIGNON’s debut album, “Lagoinha,” released in 2022.

Três amigos que fazem música juntos há anos, colaborando em diferentes grupos e contextos: Gino e Jori como parte da banda SKIP&DIE, e Gino como produtor da YĪNYĪN, banda fundada por Yves.
No verão de 2023, o COLLIGNON transformou-se num ato ao vivo altamente energético e explosivo, surpreendendo e impressionando públicos em toda a Europa com sua energia fresca e musicalidade autêntica durante uma turnê de mais de 30 datas.
Em novembro de 2023, lançaram o primeiro single como trio: “Viemos de Longe / Visita Noturna”, editado em vinil 7 polegadas pelo selo suíço Bongo Joe Records, em coprodução com a nova gravadora de Jori, Gris Gris Records.
O single foi apresentado no Festival Le Guess Who?, em Utrecht (Holanda), onde o COLLIGNON e a Gris Gris Records curaram um palco, reunindo artistas de Portugal, Guiné-Bissau e Brasil.
O segundo single, “Lagoinha (Minha Nave)”, com a participação do grupo Mira Kendô (Guiné-Bissau), foi lançado em janeiro de 2024 com um concerto explosivo no Eurosonic / Noorderslag Festival, em Groningen (Holanda).
O espetáculo recebeu críticas entusiasmadas, descrevendo a música como um “comboio instrumental em alta velocidade” ao qual “ficar parado é impossível: o público não tem opção senão se render e ser levado pela onda sonora”. A plataforma musical holandesa 3voor12 nomeou o COLLIGNON como um dos melhores e mais promissores projetos do prestigiado festival internacional. A apresentação impulsionou a banda para mais um verão repleto de festivais.
Em meio a uma turnê de mais de 35 concertos, a banda conseguiu escrever e gravar o seu primeiro álbum de longa duração, “Bicicleta” (com lançamento previsto para 14 de fevereiro de 2025). Alimentando-se da energia dos shows ao vivo, o grupo sentiu que precisava aproveitar o momento e registrar a nova música que surgia entre eles de forma tão natural.
Após os singles bem recebidos “Estrada do Norte”, “Guizo da Cobra” e a faixa-título “Bicicleta”, este álbum marca o maior lançamento do COLLIGNON até hoje, abrindo caminho para alcançar novos públicos e territórios.
A base da música do COLLIGNON está no estúdio de Jori, em Portugal. Depois de uma década viajando pelo mundo em turnê, Jori se estabeleceu numa pequena e empoeirada aldeia chamada Lagoinha, ao sul de Lisboa, onde construiu um estúdio de gravação, uma casa de hóspedes e uma pequena quinta. Muitos artistas e influências musicais de diversas partes do mundo já passaram por esse lugar mágico, inspirando Jori e Gino a gravar o álbum de estreia do COLLIGNON, “Lagoinha”, lançado em 2022.
